Already Using Vitamin A from Another Brand? or Switching from Another Brand’s Vitamin A?
DISCOVER HOW TO SWITCH
As a general rule, we recommend starting with a strength lower than what you were using from another brand. Unfortunately, we can't confirm the stability of other brands’ retinol serums; for instance, a product labeled as 1% retinol may have degraded to a much lower concentration. To stay on the safe side, we advise beginning with a lower strength in our stabilised retinol serums to ease your skin into them and help prevent irritation.
Most other brands typically use retinol or its derivatives, such as retinyl palmitate and hydroxypinacolone retinoate. Check your product's retinol percentage on the brand’s website, then refer to our handy switching table below. Not seeing your transition or have a question? Contact us for personalised advice.
These recommendations are starting points for transitioning to a new vitamin A molecule. From there, you can increase strength if desired, without needing to phase in again within the same vitamin A family. Curious if you're ready to move up?
